OPERATIONS

Plate freezer

The raw materials can be frozen using the plates inside the freezer. Ammonia is passed through the plates and the temperature comes down to minus 40 degree Celsius and hence the materials in contact with the plates get frozen.

Blast Freezer

This can freeze Shrimps individually and also in blocks. The freezing is done by blasting and circulating high chilled air inside the freezer. The processed material kept inside will be frozen at a temperature of minus 40 degree Celsius with 4 hours time.

Individual quick freezing (IQF)

The blanched or graded shrimps are individually loaded into the conveyer of the IQF machine and frozen rapidly in the freezing tunnel.
In IQF shrimps are spread on the conveyer belt individually & frozen at -40oc for 9 minutes depending on the size of the product. IQF shrimp tend to show less damage during freezing .
